Maybe you know this: you are on the threshold of falling asleep. Your mind is nice and relaxed and just before falling asleep. And suddenly, without any warning, you are wide awake! Or you wake up in the middle of the night for no reason and can no longer fall asleep. Your thoughts circle around all kinds of things and you can't get to rest.

I was like this for weeks and you can imagine how gruelling it was. Waking up almost every morning tired. And the constant fear at bedtime of not being able to fall asleep. It took me some time to figure out how to control my sleep disorders. And how to get back to a restful and good sleep.
The decisive solution was not to take dietary supplements and vitamins but to turn off electromagnetic radiation! After much research on this topic, I found out that WLAN and cell phone radiation makes it very difficult for our cells to produce hormones. These rays are in discredit to our DNA and cause chronic inflammation. This also increases the dominance of estrogen.
I think these are sufficient reasons to protect yourself from electromagnetic radiation. There are already all kinds of things for this purpose: underwear and caps made of special fabric or even whole canopies for the bed. There are also special chips that can be stuck into the cell phone casing. It does not have to be complex and expensive. Just using headphones when making phone calls with your cell phone reduces the effect of the electromagnetic fields. I find the easiest and most effective way to switch off the cell phone (or switch to flight mode) and the WLAN modem at night. And, of course, the best is to install the modem out of reach of your bedroom.
Another problem, not only with energy saving lamps and LED lights but also with cell phones, PC and TV screens, is the increased amount of blue light they emit. If you are an intensive smartphone user or sit in front of the screen a lot, it is recommended to wear blue light glasses. As the name suggests, these glasses filter out blue light. Blue light is not bad in itself. It provides us with the necessary energy to be active. And this is exactly where the problem lies. In the evening, when it is dark, blue light signals exactly that: be awake and active! The blue light pretends that it is day and thus changes the hormone balance. The production of the sleep hormone melatonin is suppressed and this leads to problems falling asleep. Melatonin ensures a deep sleep and is responsible for your body to regenerate itself sustainably.
Alternatively, there are dietary supplements and herbs that protect against radiation and also those that promote sleep. I will introduce you to some in my next blog posts.
Yours, Dagmar
